Thanks to the availability of different hiking and Alpine association huts, Stuben offers hikes lasting several days over the summer vacation.
In addition to impressive hiking and alpine treks with interesting flora and fauna, your Alpine adventure also includes fascinating geological insights. The Flexen and Arlberg Pass form the passage into the Lechtaler Alps. The Lechquellen Mountains and the Arlberg area offer the Alpine mountain hiker ample opportunity to do longer tours. Hiking with overnight stays in self-catering huts on your own or in managed huts ensures good conversation and adventures in the great outdoors.

The Kaltenberghütte is in an airy, free balcony location at an altitude of 2,089 meters with a unique terrace and all-round view. Unspoilt gem right at the junction between the Arlberg, the Klostertal and the Verwall.
There are rooms and dormitories. The hut hosts treat all mountain lovers with regional and homemade delicacies. Only the best food and drinks are served here. Most of the ingredients come regionally from a radius of about 50 kilometers and from biological mountain agriculture. The rule is: as local and regional as possible.

Around Formarinsee, where the Freiburger Hut is situated, there are numerous opportunities for walkers, hikers, climbers, bikers and anglers. A sunny terrace, several restaurants, camping dormitories and mattress dormitories await visitors. The hut has the DAV title of a “family-friendly hut”, suitable for children from the age of 7. The tenants, Sabine and Markus Jankowitsch, tend to the guests’ culinary needs. Depending on the snow situation, the Freiburger Hut is open from mid-June to the beginning of October.

The Alp association hut of the DAV sector Hohenstaufen is situated at an altitude of 2245 m above sea level in Gamsboden in the Lechquellen Mountains above Zug, and offers visitors a glorious panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. The hut is fully managed from the end of June to the beginning of October. The hut has camping dormitories and mattress dormitories as well as a winter room for a maximum of 74 people. Pre-reservation requested (reservations will be kept until 5 pm), from the end of June to the beginning of October, the tenants ask that you make your reservation by phone as emails can only be answered sporadically.

The Ulmer Hut is an Alpine association hut belonging to the Ulm sector of the German Alpine Association. It is situated at an altitude of 2288 meters above sea level, surrounded by the world-renowned winter sports resorts around St. Anton am Arlberg (St. Christoph, Lech, Zürs). The Alpine Association hut was built in 1903 and continually expanded; today it offers all the mod cons of an Alpine guesthouse. It is situated right in the middle of the sophisticated ski are on the Arlberg, directly on the slopes, which means it is also easily accessible in winter. In summer, it is a base camp of the Lechtaler Höhenweg (high trail). Open in summer from July to the beginning of September.

The Ravensburger Hut is situated at an altitude of 1,984 m above sea level and was built by the DAV Ravensburg in 1912. When it was extended in 2009, particular attention was paid to ensuring the facilities were modern but modelled on original, traditional accommodation for mountain climbers. Families feel just as home as mountain climbers, hikers and groups in the two comfortable restaurants with tiled stoves. Our adult guests enjoy being pampered on the sun terrace on sunny days. The little ones play in the playground next door, which contains a playhouse, slide and a sandpit. Managed from mid-June to the beginning of October.

The hut, which is situated in the Lechtaler Alps, is perfect for hikes, mountain and climbing tours (Roggspitze). There are 36 camping rooms and 20 mattress dormitories available for overnight stays. The winter room for alpine association members has 12 mattress dormitories (always open). The hut is managed by the tenants Florian and Heidi Beiser from mid-June to the end of September.
