. Framed by impressive peaks topping 2,000 meters, you can then enjoy the romantic atmosphere by Plansee, which features a number of lovely parking areas. If you'd like to enjoy some coffee and cake along with your view of the lake, we recommend stopping in the restaurant at the Hotel Forelle. Once you have crossed the Ammersattel, you'll find yourself in Germany and can now swing through the curves all the way to Oberammergau. You also have the option to visit one of the region's tourist attractions, such as Linderhof Palace or Ettal Abbey.
After this, your tour rewards you with scenery featuring refreshing bodies of water as it takes you past the Staffelsee, Kochelsee, and Walchensee, and further on, the Sylvenstein Dam. The latter is integrated into a stretch through the Jachenau municipality and down a wonderful forest road leading from Vorderriß to Wallgau, both of which provide an almost meditative motorcycle ride.
Once you reach Mittenwald, you'll drive back into Austria. After a relaxing ride along the Mieming Plateau and through the curves of the Holzleitensattel, the Hahntennjoch Pass awaits, which fits perfectly to the motto "Save the best for last". Thirty impressive alpine kilometers take you to the crest at 1,894 meters, where the biker community often meets for a chat before heading back down the winding road. Fortunately, trucks, buses, and caravans are not permitted on the Hahntennjoch Pass. This means you can leisurely roll down through the Lechtal towards the Flexen Pass and once again enjoy the descent down Arlberg towards Stuben to unwind after another pleasurable excursion.
