How to get to the ski and mountain resort

It is easier to get to Stuben than you think. Even if you travel by plane or with the train, there are comfortable transfers into the romantic ski and mountain village. In addition to the snowchain-free journey by car, taxi services or transfer from the airport via the Arlberg Express are possible in winter.

The journey from the west takes you over the freeway from Lindau – Bludenz – S 16 – near Klösterle in the direction of the Albergpass – Stuben.

How to get here from the east: Innsbruck freeway – at St. Anton am Arlberg – over the Arlberg Pass to Stuben.

Freeway road tax sticker: The freeways & highways in Austria are subject to tolls. Freeway stickers can be obtained at border crossings, at petrol stations and at automobile clubs.

Please note it is not possible or can be very difficult to travel through the Bregenz Forest in winter if the Lech-Warth connection is closed.

Arlbergtunnel closure

from 15 April to 22 NOvember 2024

The Arlberg Tunnel along the S 16 Arlberg Expressway between Tyrol and Vorarlberg will be closed for all traffic in both directions between 15 April and 22 November 2024. The reason: Comprehensive rehabilitation work to road surface, drainage and tunnel lining to improve safety. Getting there by train

The flexible and environmentally friendly train journey is best via the Langen am Arlberg train station, which is only around 3 kilometers away from Stuben. Many local and long-distance trains from all over Europe stop there every day. The regular bus and taxi connections bring you comfortably to your holiday destination.

Langen am Arlberg train station: 3 km from Stuben | regular taxi and bus service (line 750) | Transfer time approx. 5 minutes

St. Anton am Arlberg train station: 12 km from Stuben | regular taxi and bus connections (line 750 + 760 with change in Zürs) | Transfer time approx. 25 minutes (taxi) & approx. 45 minutes (bus)

Getting there by plane

The wide variety of airlines and gates make it easy to travel to the mountain sport village of Stuben by plane. With the Arlberg Express, there is a direct transfer during the winter and the summer vacation.

Different airlines offer low-cost flights. Friedrichshafen Airport, which is situated right next to Lake Constance, is a cheap gate for Vorarlberg; the transfer time to Stuben is around 60 minutes. The transfer from Zurich Airport is naturally also extremely well organized. Munich and Memmingen are further airports from which you can comfortably fly to Stuben. Please contact the Alberg Express directly for departure times, transfer times, bookings and information.
