Ulmer Hut
In the Ulmer Hut, you can stay directly on the ski slope or right next to the hiking trails in the heart of Arlberg’s Alpine landscape. Here you can enjoy Stuben’s glorious Alpine scenery right from the time you get up in the morning – together with a wholesome breakfast in the homely guest lounge in the Ulmer Hut. And afterwards all you have to do is open the main door, click on your skis and enjoy the snow.
The Ulmer Hut is an Alpine association hut belonging to the Ulm sector of the German Alpine Association. It is situated at an altitude of 2288 meters above sea level and surrounded by Arlberg’s world-renowned winter sports resorts. The Alpine Association hut was built in 1903 and continually expanded. Today it offers the comfort of a mountain guesthouse. It is situated right in the middle of the Arlberg ski area directly on the slopes, so is also easily accessible in winter. The longstanding but managers, Karin and Heimo Turin, and their team are well-known for their hospitality and the professional management of the guests.
The opening times are adjusted to each of the mountain railways, usually from the end of November to the end of April/beginning of May.
Kohlerhaus – ski and hiking hut
A further ski and hiking hut – however not a self-catering hut, but rather a small guesthouse – in the Kohlerhaus in the Arlberg alpine landscape only 5 minutes away from the Albonabahn cable car. It is a wonderful starting point for all vacationers who enjoy nature. The small ski and hiking hut with 9 rooms belongs to Sporthotel Arlberg. Guests have been looked after and spoilt here as far back as in 1940. Those who stay over receive breakfast and afternoon tea, while dinner is served in the Sporthotel Arlberg. A comfortable restaurant with a warming tiled fireplace is the social center point in the Kohlerhaus ski hut. The sun terrace invites you to relax on a chaise lounge when the wind has gone.
